SITE RENTALS At Woodlawn &
Pope-Leighey House

Woodlawn & Pope-Leighey House offers private rental options that combine the compelling history of the site with its natural landscape. There is a range of select spaces within the 126 acres of land for both small and large groups.

Available interior spaces include the Underwood Room at Woodlawn and the Pope-Leighey House. Exterior spaces include the Fountain Garden, the Serpentine Garden, and the Garden at Pope-Leighey House. There is also an Event Tent for larger events availble April through November.  Host a wedding ceremony, cocktail reception, dinner, private concert, social gathering, corporate retreat, or team meeting.

Private rentals support Woodlawn & Pope-Leighey House efforts to continue our preservation and educational programming work across the site.

Pope-Leighey House Garden

  • Capacity: 75 guests

  • Enough room for a 20’x20’ and/or 30’x15’ tent, inquire for more information

  • Restroom trailer recommended

Fountain Garden at Woodlawn

  • Capacity: 200+ guests standing

  • Includes benches and urns

  • Beautiful water feature and landscaping

  • Public restrooms available (not ADA accessible)


Serpentine Garden at Woodlawn

  • Capacity: 400 guests

  • Largest outdoor space

  • Public restrooms available (not ADA accessible)

  • Open lawn with direct view of Woodlawn


Interior Spaces

The Pope-Leighey House

  • Capacity: 25 guests

  • Original Frank Lloyd Wright designed home built in Falls Church, VA in 1940

  • The only FLW home open to the public in the DMV area

  • Special requests only

  • No food and drink allowed

  • Restroom trailer recommended

The Underwood Room at Woodlawn

  • Capacity: 35 guests

  • Historic setting with Federalist architectural features

  • Linens not included

  • Food and drink allowed

  • Public restrooms available (not ADA accessible)

Additional Spaces

Event Tent at Woodlawn

  • Max. 250 guests seated, 300 standing

  • Tent package contracted through DC Rental, includes tables and chairs for up to 250 people

  • Draping, lighting, and chandeliers included

  • Tent Technician present on site throughout the event to assist with any needs such as opening and closing the sides, adjusting lighting, etc.

  • Available April to November

  • Public restrooms available (not ADA accessible)

  • Access to our grounds and select indoor areas for photography
