Tour Information
We are open in March 2025 for the Annual Woodlawn Needlework Show and Pope-Leighey House tours. We reopen on April 17th with our regular tour schedule. Please visit our Needlework Show page to purchase Needlework Show tickets!
All tours must check-in at Woodlawn. Pope-Leighey House is a five minute walk from Woodlawn.
Please plan arrival time accordingly.
Woodlawn & Pope-Leighey House tours are open for the season from April 17 through December 30, 2025. The site is open Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Guided tours of each house are offered at
10:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM, & 3:00 PM
Visitors can also tour both sites in one visit with a Combo Tour at
10:00 AM & 2:00 PM

Plan to be on site for up to 1-1.5 hours if you are taking one tour and up to 2-2.5 hours if you are taking both tours.
The grounds of Woodlawn & Pope-Leighey are open to the public during normal business hours free of charge.

Discounted Tickets
From Armed Forces Day (May 17, 2025) through Labor Day (September 1, 2025), Woodlawn & Pope-Leighey House will be participating in Blue Star Museum program. Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and museums across America to offer free admission to the nation’s active duty military personnel including National Guard and Reserve and their families each summer.
The free admission program is available for those currently serving in the United States Military–Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Space Force, Coast Guard–including Reservists, National Guardsman (regardless of status), U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps, NOAA Commissioned Corps, and up to five family members. Qualified members must show a Geneva Convention common access card (CAC), DD Form 1173 ID card (dependent ID), or a DD Form 1173-1 ID card for admission. This discount is redeemable only in-person on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on availability.
Woodlawn & Pope-Leighey House are proud to participate in the Museums For All program, an initiative of the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Through Museums for All, those receiving food assistance (SNAP benefits) can gain reduced admission to Woodlawn and Pope-Leighey House.
Visitors can purchase $2 tickets for up to four people to attend Combination Tours of both Woodlawn and Pope-Leighey House by simply showing their EBT card and a photo ID at our admissions desk. Tours are available on a first come first serve basis and Museums for All tickets may only be purchased in person. Up to four $2 tickets may be purchased on one EBT card. National Trust for Historic Preservation members receive one FREE single house or combo tour admission.
Please purchase your full-priced ticket online. When you arrive at Woodlawn & Pope-Leighey House, present your membership card at the front desk, and you will be provided the appropriate discounted refund through the online ticketing system at that time.
